EMDR Therapy
EMDR can be thought of as a physiologically based therapy that helps a person see disturbing material in a new and less distressing way.
EMDR is an integrative psychotherapy approach that has been extensively researched and proven effective for the treatment of trauma. EMDR is a set of standardized protocols that incorporates elements from many different treatment approaches. To date, EMDR has helped millions of people of all ages relieve many types of psychological stress.

Therapy
When the walk of life gets overwhelming or painful, a therapeutic relationship can help create movement towards wellness and contentment.
I generally draw on one or more theories of psychotherapy and apply research-based techniques to guide people through the process of understanding their beliefs, values, thoughts, emotions, and behaviors. It is a collaborative treatment based on the relationship between the person and provider. As an experienced professional, I am here to help empower each person’s unique needs for growth and healing. Sessions are held virtually.
I offer therapy for individuals, partner relationships, and families. I have advance training (and personal experience) working with the neurodivergent community and LGBTQ+ communities.

Assessment
Have you spent most of your life feeling like, “I just don’t fit anywhere,” or “is there a handbook everyone got that I didn’t?” Have you started to hear more about neurodiversity and resonated with people’s stories in those forums?
I believe that everyone deserves to have their unique experiences recognized and validated. I also understand how important it is to be understood and empowered. That is why I offer a comprehensive assessment to Autism Spectrum Disorder and Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) in adults.
I offer Neurodiverse-Affirming care; I believe and know that all experiences are valid. I also know that living in this neurotypical world as a neurodivergent individual (ADHD, Autism, etc.) can be very challenging and some individuals might benefit from the additional supports and most importantly, understanding, that come with a diagnosis.
I can assess you to determine whether you meet the criteria for ASD and ADHD and I also provide individual therapy for adults who are seeking improved self-understanding, greater self-esteem, and support in self-advocating for accommodations.
Finally, I help neurodiverse couples develop positive, healthy relationship patterns that improve communication and reduce negative interactions.
